How come that when talking about innovation, people sometimes just stick to the topic of science and technology? I thought this seems to be a 'framework' stuck from the linear model of innovation which has been declared dead for more than two decades now, but apparently still lives on in the minds of people researching the topic of innovation. Even for well-known researchers innovation=knowledge economy = scientific output. Apparently they have never even heard of services and their ability to innovate without science. See for example this article (in Dutch) about 'innovation', which is limited to science and valorisation of science results.
